Now for the "Speedtest" part of this post. Me: "Okay, when will this be fixed?" They refuse to actually tell me when I'll have normal internet, so I'm basically paying for unusable internet for months now and they have zero incentive to actually do anything about it. Then of course, 36 hours later, things are even worse. Long cat/mouse game with the tech support where they schedule an appointment, then cancel it with a call from the local dispatcher saying "They're working on an issue outside for x hours(last time it was 36). Insane packet loss, crazy ping spikes, speeds that wildly jump from 5 to 180(never at the 200 down I pay for). Currently have unusable internet for the purposes I need and my life is held hostage by Spectrum. No/few issues at first, then more and more worsening issues. Reduce the excessive length of the internet Cable.Spectrum user for 1 year here.Use an Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi.They can run in the background and using the Internet additionally. Remove unwanted apps and programs from your PC and Mobile apps. Keep your Modem away from other electronic devices to increase the signal integrity (SI).Switch off the Internet in the devices which all are not in use.Restart the Modem, ensure that the cable is properly connected.Connected with many devices at the same time and doing multiple tasks at the same, may impact the internet speed, such as Streaming 4k Ultra high definition video, Large Files Download, gaming, etc.,.
